Dear Sugar,
The heat is driving me absolutely crazy! I complained on my Instagram account about being boiled and roasted at the same time (I never even knew that was possible, obviously I was wrong). Imagine a cross between a roasted chicken and steamed lobster...that's me.
So, I tried all the tradition options like cold showers, sporting my bare back and chest etc etc but the ultimate result was heat rash. Heat rashes all over my back and that is not good. Its very uncomfortable especially if your hands are too short to reach behind and scratch.
What is heat rash anyway? The medical term is Miliaria...sorry, not malaria, please note the difference in spelling. Hot and humid environments sometimes prevent the skin from expelling sweat. The accumulation of this causes rashes on the surface of the skin. These appear as little blisters on the surface of the skin which can cause itching and irritation. For babies the pores of the skin are not yet fully developed so they get heat rashes more often.
I'm sorry but I will not put up pictures here of my naked back. You can look up graphic pictures on the internet if you want to see what heat rash looks like.
Anyways, Agnesia Powder will help keep my back clean, dry and cool for a few days and help my skin recover quickly. Its quite effective and I couldn't find any other of the other popular local brands such as St. Lukes Prickly Heat Powder. No probs... I'm cool with the Agnesia.
