What will it do for your skin?
Neutrogena Transparent Facial Bar is an absolutely amazing facial cleansing bar. This means that it is formulated for use on the face only and not for general "all over body" bathing. Its formulation is in line with its intended use as a facial bar. It is gentle and light. It will melt or dissolve freely when in contact with water or any kind moisture (it actually needs some extra care in handling so that it does not melt away, store it safely in an air tight soap dish). However, if handling carefully and lovingly the incredible product will bring about some awesome changes for many problem skin types. Those with sensitive, oily and acne prone skin will especially benefit from its regular use. Personally I combine it with Neutrogena Body Scrub (with salicyclic acid) and I get very good results. It nourishes and moisturizes the skin with a combination of Vitamin E and Glycerine.
Any concerns?
Yes. It contains a range of harsh traditional cleansing ingredient such as TEA lauryl sulfate and others which have a tendency to irritate sensitive skin. Its pricing is also a bit on the high side compared to other similar products in the market.
The Final Word
Neutrogena products on average are reliable performers and Neutrogena Facial Bar delivers a reasonably satisfying cleansing experience. It may not be the best bar soap ever but in a market limited by the spending power of consumers, it is not too bad at all. We rate it 7/10
