A lot can be said about happiness. It means different things to different people. It is a state of being where we are joyful, delighted, gleeful and contented. It is  exhilaration, bliss and pleasure. That’s what we read in books and dictionaries.
However, it is important to understand that happiness is also a CHOICE. It is a choice we make must make every minute of every hour, every day, every week, every month of every year. You must choose to be happy. It is the same as when you choose to take a nap or take a walk or call a dear friend. It is a conscientious decision. It is premeditated.
We must not depend on family, friends, neighbors, a TV show or the weekend football game to make us happy. Happiness is found in a state of being which we have chosen, not in people, places or things. It is always there for us. It smiles and it beckons.
Choose happiness every day.
