Extreme makeup, that’s what I call it.
It is unconventional, unusual, out of context, extraordinary,
weird and ugly or bazaar.
Something that is utterly unearthly and surreal. It is
unnatural with a glow of the supernatural as if from outer space.
It’s shocking, sending our senses to places uninhabited and
unexplored. It is scary and eerie as a mask of death or something not so bad. It
can haunt our dreams and abuse our imagination.
No one should ever have to look this way, not in real life
anyway.
In my honest perception of beauty, childish and simple, I
say it’s just a little. Makeup should be applied with the slightest of touches,
some here and some there. We must not be able to tell the difference between
the real and the imagined. It is absolute moderation. It is humble and simple
to perfection.
I cannot dream of extreme makeup. Yet some women do. Beauty is
seductive, charming, amazing, sensual and exciting. It makes you laugh.
I am no expert. Not even close. Yet I can perceive beauty. Extreme
makeup, beauty it is not.
